Why we stand here

We will stand in the cold because we want to protect people from harm.

We stand in the cold because we want people to know that we care.

We wave to our neighbors so they will know we hate oppression but care for them.

We fight so that our kids will know that we fought.

We will not be silent as immigrants are harmed, when corruption is rampant, when lawfulness is allowed.

Why do you stand out? What is the torch you are carrying for the cause – there are 1 million ways to care.

Leigh Kirchner says, “we stand in the cold because as our hearts are breaking for our beloved country we are finding community and lifting spirits just for a moment so we can carry on”
